At the end of June, we wrote an in-depth article about the heat-wave’s effect on vineyards. Large parts of Europe have been hit by exceptional weather this year.
We explained that the heat can lead to problems in many ways, drought, burnt grapes, imbalance, immaturity and over-ripeness and a lot more.
It was a theme that interested the English publication Metro, so they called us and asked for an interview with Per, which we were happy to do.
There is so much inaccurate writing. Recently, there has been a lot of completely incorrect and untrue writing (mainly in Sweden) about the fires in Bordeaux and how it will lead to “shortages”, to “disaster for winegrowers”, to make them “unable to make quality wines in the future”, “15% price hike”, and other overblown disaster scenarios.
