Vinisud is one of the main wine shows in France and also a significant world player. Compared to e.g. Vinexpo you can find many more small to medium size producers there (with often more exciting wines than the giants). The next edition of Vinisud will take place on February 24-26, 2014, in Montpellier.

This year there will be a special conference on wine tourism. Wine tourism is a subject that generates a lot of interest in France these days, called oenotourisme. It is seen as one way of revitalising the wine regions and bringing more revenues to the wine sector (that otherwise is seeing hard times).

At Vinisud there is a round-table conference with the title “Original wine tourism for the Mediterranean”.

BKWine will be on the panel as one of the speakers. We are happy to be invited to participate in this. We are, as you perhaps know, very active in wine tourism, as one of the world’s main wine travel tour operators and the one most focussed on quality wine experiences, with an unrivalled depth of knowledge about wine amongst wine travel companies. We also have a lot of opinion on how wine tourism is done (in the wine regions) and how it could be done better, so it will be a pleasure to participate in that discussion.

“Sunshine, historic and cultural heritage, exceptional wines… the Mediterranean, a wine tourism paradise” as André Deyrieux, the organiser of the conference puts it. André is a wine tourism consultant and runs the web site WineTourismInFrance.com.

If you are coming to Vinisud I hope you also join us at the wine tourism conference: Tuesday 25 February at 16.30.
