Mattias Schyberg writes for BKWine Magazine on wine tastings and wine events in Sweden.

Mattias is a passionate and dedicated wine geek very interested in wine and sensory research. In his own words:

“I mostly drink red wine, if I have to choose, but my preferences are very wide. I have yet to encounter a wine style that I don’t like, as long as the wine in the glass is of a certain quality and is interesting. I work as a product developer in the alimentary industry with a specialisation in flavour compounds, flavouring and sensory evaluation. So my life tends to circle around aromas and flavours, but with a more playful and less serious approach when not working.

I write about wine simply because it is fun and enriching (in experiences). I have no formal training (in wine) but am mainly an autodidact. So I don’t have any professional connection to wine. Outside of BKWine Magazine you are most likely to find me on finewines.se where I am one of the administrators of Sweden’s biggest and most relevant wine forum. It is a bit geeky but also very dynamic and welcoming with very open discussions. Definitely worth a visit!”
