That is about the same size as Bordeaux (100\u2019) and      Languedoc (250\u2019) together. But only 60% of that is used for producing wine:      213,000 hectares (527,000 acres), up 1% from previous year \u2013 so roughly,      California wine land is about twice the size of Bordeaux.
