Svavel anv\u00e4nds av n\u00e4stan alla vinproducenter bl.a. f\u00f6r att konservera och stabilisera vinet n\u00e4r det buteljeras. Svavel \u00e4r helt enkelt ett konserveringsmedel. Vissa producenter vill dock helt sluta anv\u00e4nda svavel, vilket dock kan vara sv\u00e5rt eftersom det kan ge problem med vinet i flaskan. Konsumenten kan ju \u00e5 sin sida tycka att svavel i vinet \u00e4r ol\u00e4mpligt eller o\u00f6nskat. Sedan en tid tillbaks m\u00e5ste vin med svavel ha en varningstext p\u00e5 etiketten, f\u00f6rmodligen f\u00f6r att varna konsumenten. I praktiken inneb\u00e4r det att alla viner har en varningstext p\u00e5 etiketten eftersom svavel \u00e4ven kan produceras naturligt under j\u00e4sningen.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bkwinephotography.com\/gallery\/Rhone-Vacqueyras-Domaine-Montirius-stock-photo-samples\/G0000fawRrg84oB0\">Domaine Montirius<\/a> (som \u00e4r en ekologisk och biodynamisk egendom) i Rhonedalen st\u00e4llde sig fr\u00e5gan, om vi tills\u00e4tter svavel vid buteljeringen, hur mycket svavel finns d\u00e5 kvar n\u00e4r flaskan n\u00e5r konsumenten? De l\u00e4t analysera svavelinneh\u00e5llet i flaskan \u00e5r fr\u00e5n \u00e5r efter buteljeringen. Resultatet blev att efter tv\u00e5 \u00e5r i flaskan fanns det praktiskt taget inget \u201dfritt\u201d svavel alls!
