Hon har jobbat bl a i Tyskland och i Nya Zeeland. \u201dI Nya V\u00e4rlden \u00e4r det ofta vinmakaren som \u00e4r den viktigaste personen medan vi tycker att arbetet ute p\u00e5 f\u00e4ltet \u00e4r det viktigaste\u201d, s\u00e4ger hon.<\/p>\n<p>M\u00e9lanies f\u00f6rsta \u00e5rg\u00e5ng var den regniga 2006 &#8211; en utmaning i b\u00f6rja med \u2013 men kvaliteten blev bra. Hennes Riesling 2006 Grand Cru Engelberg \u00e4r mycket torrt, lite krispig, ganska l\u00e4tt och med goda citrusaromer.<\/p>\n<p>Domaine Pfister g\u00f6r i huvudsak torra viner. Olika \u00e5rg\u00e5ngar har i och f\u00f6r sig olika f\u00f6ruts\u00e4ttningar, s\u00e4ger M\u00e9lanie, men det tekniska arbetet ute p\u00e5 f\u00e4ltet g\u00f6rs i syfte att f\u00e5 torra viner. Druvorna sk\u00f6rdas mogna, men inte \u00f6vermogna. Hon g\u00f6r aldrig n\u00e5gon malolaktisk j\u00e4sning. Egendomen har 10 hektar, uppdelade p\u00e5 40 olika markpl\u00e4ttar. Det l\u00e5ter som om det skulle vara besv\u00e4rligt och M\u00e9lanie medger att logistiken kan vara komplicerad och man f\u00f6rlorar tid genom alla f\u00f6rflyttningar. Men de positiva aspekterna uppv\u00e4ger, tycker hon.<\/p>\n<p>De olika jordtyperna blandas och ger komplexitet till vinerna. Terroiren \u00e4r viktig tycker hon, men hon vill g\u00e4rna beh\u00e5lla traditionen att s\u00e4tta ut druvnamnet p\u00e5 etiketten eftersom druvan \u00e4r en del av Alsace-identiteten.<\/p>\n<p>Domaine Pfister \u00e4r en mycket bra adress om man tycker om en ren, of\u00f6rfalskad och torr stil p\u00e5 sina Alsace-viner.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>M\u00e9lanie Pfister b\u00f6rjade jobba med sin pappa p\u00e5 familjens egendom i Dahlenheim i norra Alsace 2006.
