Ganska f\u00e5 champagner kommer fr\u00e5n individuella vinproducenter och odlare. Vissa menar att Champagnes otroliga framg\u00e5ng v\u00e4rlden runt under senare \u00e5r beror p\u00e5 just att det domineras av de stora varum\u00e4rkesinriktade husen medan andra h\u00e4vdar att dessa mest g\u00f6r utsl\u00e4tade viner utan s\u00e4rskilt mycket individualitet. F\u00f6r tio \u00e5r sedan skapade dock de oberoende odlarna ett gemensamt paraplyvarum\u00e4rke, kallat Champagnes des Vignerons (\u201dvinodlarchampagne\u201d), f\u00f6r att kunna marknadsf\u00f6ra sig b\u00e4ttre. Med andra ord \u00e4r det tio\u00e5rsjubileum i \u00e5r. Idag \u00e4r det n\u00e4stan en tredjedel av all champagne som buteljeras och s\u00e4ljs av individuella odlare.
