Vintage Port deklareras endast de \u00e5r som producenterna anser vara exceptionella och \u201dgenerella deklarationer\u201d \u2013 vilket betyder att de flesta av de st\u00f6rre husen sl\u00e4pper en \u00e5rg\u00e5ngsport (\u201d<em>vintage<\/em>\u201d) \u2013 \u00e4r relativt s\u00e4llsynta. Det senaste \u00e5ret var 2017.<\/p><p>2024 bj\u00f6d p\u00e5 en varm sommar och en relativt sval h\u00f6st vilket har resulterat i en klassisk \u00e5rg\u00e5ngsport (\u201d<em>vintage port<\/em>\u201d). Men vi ser naturligtvis \u00e5rg\u00e5ngsport fr\u00e5n andra \u00e5r \u00e4n de som \u00e4r \u201dgenerella deklarationer\u201d. Vissa \u00e5r deklarerar bara n\u00e5gra hus en vintage eller inget hus alls. Fonseca till exempel deklarerar en \u201cclassic Vintage Port\u201d bara exceptionella \u00e5r. Vissa andra \u00e5r v\u00e4ljer huset att sl\u00e4ppa en Fonseca Guimaraens Vintage Port, som g\u00f6rs i en stil som g\u00f6r den tillg\u00e4nglig tidigare \u00e4n en klassisk vintage och till ungef\u00e4r halva priset.<\/p><p>Beslutet att deklarera en \u00e5rg\u00e5ng g\u00f6r man p\u00e5 v\u00e5ren det andra \u00e5ret efter sk\u00f6rden. Ett portvin som ska bli <em>vintage<\/em> buteljeras vanligen efter tv\u00e5 \u00e5r och, enligt reglerna, maximalt efter tre. En annan regel s\u00e4ger att man ska v\u00e4nta l\u00e4nge innan man \u00f6ppnar en \u00e5rg\u00e5ngsport.
