M\u00e5nga associerar Juran\u00e7on fortfarande med s\u00f6ta viner. Men efterfr\u00e5gan p\u00e5 vita torra viner \u00f6kar och <strong>Juran\u00e7on Sec<\/strong> har idag, \u00e4ntligen, ett gediget rykte som ett av Frankrikes stora vita viner.<\/p><p>Produktionen \u00e4r idag 50 % s\u00f6tt och 50 % torrt f\u00f6r de oberoende odlarna men det stora kooperativet Cave de Juran\u00e7on g\u00f6r fortfarande mer s\u00f6tt \u00e4n torrt. Ett annat stort kooperativ, Plaimont, som finns n\u00e4stg\u00e5rds i Madiran, satsar nu stort ocks\u00e5 p\u00e5 torr Juran\u00e7on. De g\u00f6r bl.a. ett vin som kallas <strong>Yura<\/strong>, ett namn som kommer fr\u00e5n Yuranso\u00fb, \u201djuran\u00e7on\u201d p\u00e5 b\u00e9arnesiska (regionen heter B\u00e9arn). Plaimont letar upp druvodlare som har lite svalare l\u00e4gen och svalare exponering f\u00f6r detta torra vin. Planen \u00e4r att g\u00f6ra 200 000 flaskor av Yura.<\/p><p>Vackra Juran\u00e7on ligger strax s\u00f6der om staden Pau i vinregionen Sydv\u00e4st (Sud-Ouest).
