Trots att det \u00e4r deras r\u00f6tter som g\u00f6r allt jobbet under markytan.<\/p><p>Varje g\u00e5ng en vinbonde ska plantera nytt m\u00e5ste han v\u00e4lja b\u00e5de druvsort och vilken rotstock som druvsorten ska ympas p\u00e5 (de amerikanska r\u00f6tterna klarar vinlusen, phylloxera, det g\u00f6r dock inte de europiska). Och eftersom det blir torrare och torrare i m\u00e5nga ving\u00e5rdar kommer det att bli \u00e4nnu viktigare i framtiden att v\u00e4lja r\u00e4tt rotstock.<\/p><p>Vinbonden kan v\u00e4lja fritt mellan de 31 rotstockar som \u00e4r till\u00e5tna i Frankrike. \u00c5tminstone tre av dem har bra tolerans mot <strong>torka<\/strong>. Men ofta tar man andra h\u00e4nsyn ocks\u00e5 n\u00e4r man v\u00e4ljer rotstock, som motst\u00e5ndskraft mot <strong>kloros<\/strong> (ett problem p\u00e5 kalkhaltig jord) och <strong>v\u00e4xtkraft<\/strong>.<\/p><p>Forskare ska nu experimentera med <strong>12 nya rotstockar<\/strong> f\u00f6r att se hur de uppf\u00f6r sig med olika druvsorter i olika
