Portugal is the world\u2019s biggest      producer of natural cork (made from bark from the cork oak tree). Miguel      Champalimaud, owner of Quinta do Cotta in Duoro has announced his intention      to be the first Portuguese wine producer to bottle wines with screw cap. But      the reason that he gives for switching is not problems with corked wines. It      is price.
