P\u00e5 1950 och 1960-talen levde folk h\u00e4r p\u00e5 sin vinodling. Men ving\u00e5rdarna h\u00e4r \u00e4r sv\u00e5rarbetade och s\u00e5 sm\u00e5ningom \u00f6vergavs de. Torres planterade nytt f\u00f6r n\u00e5gra \u00e5r sedan, runt 100 hektar. Druvorna \u00e4r m\u00e5nga: pinot noir, riesling, sauvignon blanc, chenin blanc, garnacha, tempranillo med flera.<\/p><p>Dessutom planterade man som experiment ett antal bortgl\u00f6mda druvsorter f\u00f6r att se hur de skulle klara sig. H\u00e4r uppe \u00e4r det 7 grader svalare och sk\u00f6rden \u00e4r vanligen 2-3 veckor senare. I \u00e5r avslutades sk\u00f6rden i Tremp den 15 oktober. Den sista druvan som sk\u00f6rdades var den gamla druvsorten pirene.<\/p><p>Pirene \u00e4r en druva som n\u00e4stan f\u00f6rsvann med phylloxeran men som har \u00e5terplanterats av familjen Torres. Druvan mognar sent och t\u00e5l b\u00e5de v\u00e4rme och torka, vilket, s\u00e4ger Torres, g\u00f6r den till en \u201dlovande druvsort i f\u00f6r\u00e4nderligt klimat\u201d. Pirene har visat sig vara s\u00e4rskilt v\u00e4l l\u00e4mpad f\u00f6r vinodling p\u00e5 h\u00f6g
