David kommer ursprungligen fr\u00e5n Australien men bor i Sverige. Han g\u00f6r en bra sammanfattning av det svenska vinets historia.<\/p>\n<p>Fr\u00e5n den blygsamma starten till dagens 250 druvodlare varav n\u00e4stan 50 arbetar mer eller mindre kommersiellt. De flesta ving\u00e5rdar \u00e4r dock mycket sm\u00e5. De kan vara ett par hundra kvadratmeter upp till 15 hektar.<\/p>\n<p>Totalt, s\u00e4ger han, har Sverige cirka 100 hektar vinodlingar. Druvorna \u00e4r ofta hybrider som b\u00e4ttre klarar det svenska klimatet. Men h\u00e4r finns ocks\u00e5 pinot noir, chardonnay, merlot, riesling med flera Vitis vinifera-druvor. David skulle g\u00e4rna servera svenskt vin till sina g\u00e4ster men, som han s\u00e4ger, han har inte r\u00e5d att g\u00f6ra det s\u00e5 ofta. Svenskt vin \u00e4r inte billigt.
