Cognac har som l\u00e5ngtidsplan att dra ner p\u00e5 besprutningen i ving\u00e5rden. Just nu testas fyra olika hybrider i ving\u00e5rdarna. Samtliga druvor har bra motst\u00e5ndskraft mot oidium och mildiou. De har \u00e4ven de kvaliteter som kr\u00e4vs f\u00f6r cognacsproduktion, n\u00e4mligen h\u00f6g syra och l\u00e5g sockerhalt. Och, inte minst, de klarar av att ge ett lika h\u00f6gt sk\u00f6rdeuttag som den druva man har nu, ugni blanc.<\/p>\n

Druvorna beh\u00f6ver dock studeras och utv\u00e4rderas ytterligare n\u00e5gra \u00e5r f\u00f6r att man ska vara s\u00e4ker p\u00e5 att de passar. Efter phylloxeran i slutet av 1800-talet bytte Cognac i stor utstr\u00e4ckning fr\u00e5n druvan folle blanche till ugni blanc som var l\u00e4ttare att ympa p\u00e5 amerikanska stockar.<\/p>\n
