Nils Liedholm, the great Swedish footballer, bought
Villa Boemia in 1973. It is located in the Monferrato hills in Northern
Italy. His wines are primarily made from the Barbera grape. In the
prestige wine Rosso della Boemia it is blended with Pinot Noir, Bonarda,
Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. His wines are well known today both
in Sweden, in Italy and elsewhere.
