This well known Californian vineyard is owned since
1972 by John Goelet and his Swedish wife together with the French wine
maker Bernard Portet. They established Clos du Val on land that they found
particularly suited to wine production. They also make wine in Australia
(Taltarni) and more recently in Languedoc at Domain de Nizas.
