Domaine des Planes, Cote de Provence
The owners of Domaine des Planes are both very well educated wine makers. They
actually met when studying at a wine university in Germany. The main grape
varieties for the white wine are Rolle and Semillon. They make a Blanc de Blanc
wine from 60% Rolle, 30% Semillon and a bit Clairette. Cuvee Elegance is a white
from 100% Semillon. They make a range of red wines, a very good red wine cuvee
called La Triade from a majority of Syrah grapes: light aromatic and with a nice
fruit. The red wine Cuvee Tradition is made from Cabernet Sauvignon and is a
round well structured wine with a distinct varietal character.
