The Danish Wine Fair - Le Salon des Vignerons Danois - in Paris in November 2004, France

Le salon des Vignerons Danois! ...  The Danish Winemakers' Show

On November 19 and 20 just over a dozen Danes (or almost Danes) assembled at the Maison de Danemark on the Champs Elysees in Paris to show what they can do in wine. Most came from France but two actually made wine in Denmark (!), one in Italy and one couple  in Germany.

"The many positive comments from people who were at the Scandinavian Wine Fair in Paris at the Cercle Suédois on February 7" led to that the Danish Embassy decided to do a Danish wine event (quote from the Danish Embassy's invitation to the fair).

We, who organised the Scandinavian Wine Fair, are very flattered (being copied must mean that it was appreciated!). We went to the Danish wine fair and met some old friend and found some new. You can see them below.

Follow this link and you will find more information (and pictures) about the Scandinavian Wine Fair that BKWine organised: The Scandinavian Wine Fair in Paris 2004

Eustache Deschamps makes an unusual and very interesting Rosé de Saignée, i.e. a rosé made exclusively from red grapes (Pinot Noir) that have macerated for a few days before being pressed thus giving a very deep colour, instead of being a blend between red and white base wine as is habitual for rose champagne
