   Clos Saint Louis, Fixin
Philippe Bernard has 12 hectares in the appellations Cote de Nuits-villages, Marsannay, Fixin, Fixin 1:er cru, Gevrey-Chambertin. Generally wines of excellent quality. Classic Burgundy wines.

"You count the number of 'eyes', or buds, so that you have the appropriate number on each vine, for example 6 to 8" "This is the short branch that will be used to carry fruit (as a long branch) next year." And this is how it is: Guyot Simple But sometimes you don't use a long branch - which makes it a kind of hybrid 'taille' - because e.g. the vine is tired and needs rest

  The best way to understand is to go there and visit yourself... More replanting at the neighbour's Guyot Simple "Some people like to keep the weed between the rows, but you still have to cut it. If you don't mow this it will be this high in a couple of weeks time"
