We know Carl Edmund as someone who is passionate about wine and about food. He is particularly passionate about wine and food from Champagne, perhaps since that is where he lives. He recently wrote a comment on our new book Biodynamic, Organic, and Natural Winemaking, Sustainable Viticulture and Viniculture that I just can’t help but repeating here:

I have just about completed reading it and am very, very impressed with the content, ease in reading the various elements covered within, the clear, direct and unbiased views (i.e. fantastic for those interested in actually learning about the differences between organic and biodynamic in a studious fashion) and also the many lovely pictures.

A MUST read for anyone who loves wine, learning about organic and biodynamic viti- and viniculture! Thanks to you and to Britt Karlsson for having written this gem!

Many thanks for those kind words, Carl-Edmund! Read Carl-Edmund’s Facebook post here.

Organics as well as other aspects of wine and the environment – sustainability, biodynamics, etc – is not so far developed in Champagne as in some other wine regions. But it is making great progress.
