We are very proud to let you know that we have been awarded not just one but TWO awards for our book Biodynamic, Organic and Natural Winemaking; Sustainable Viticulture and Viniculture:
- “Best Wine Book for Professionals”
- “Best Drinks Health Book”
Both awards were given in the Swedish qualifying round for the international World Gourmand Awards 2014. (It used to be called World Gourmand Cookbook Awards but seems to have been baptised to Gourmand Drinks Awards.)
This means that the book qualifies for the final of the Gourmand Awards to maybe become “Best in the World”. The results will be announced on Tuesday June 9, 2015 at the great ceremony in Yantai, the “wine capital” of China during the Grapes by the Sea Festival, on the Wine Bay beach. Yantai is a 75 minutes flight south-east of Beijing in case you consider to come and attend.
We are very proud to have achieved this honour with our new book, our first book to be published in English.
This will be the third time that one of our books participates in the finals of the World Gourmand Awards.
We once won Best in the World in the category “Best Wine Book for Professionals” for our book The Creation of a Wine which was also a prize winner as Best Wine Book in Sweden. This is so far only published in Swedish with the title Ett vin blir till. Any international publishers out there who might be interested? Just give me a call!
We were also international runner-up for World’s Best, second place, with Vinet och miljön, the original Swedish edition of our organic wine book.
